Ana Dorr is vibrant speaker who brings a fresh, international perspective to Cy Wakeman’s Reality-Based philosophy. As the very first Spanish – English certified Reality-Based Facilitator, Ana has created a new opportunity to bring the Reality-Based message to both English and Spanish speaking leaders and employees. She holds a Master’s degree in International Business from the University of Derby, England and a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business and Finance from Escuela Internacional de Gerencia, Spain.
Today, she is a full time member of Cy Wakeman’s team and a certified facilitator handpicked to deliver the Reali- ty-Based message in both Spanish and English. Her unique background and international experience combine with her infectious energy to create a dynamic learning opportunity that inspires. The results seen from her facilitation of Cy’s programs are undeniable and audiences consistently rank her programs as one of the best they’ve ever seen.
TANIA GLENN, PSYD, LCSW
Dr. Tania Glenn is the president of Tania Glenn and Associates, PA a clinical practice in Aus- tin, TX that is focused on promoting resilience, critical incident response and peer support team training and activation. As a leading national clinician in the treatment of post-trau- matic stress disorder (PTSD), Dr. Glenn specializes in working with emergency responders, military and the aviation community.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with twenty-six years of experience, Dr. Glenn deployed to Oklahoma City in 1995, New York City in 2001, New Orleans in 2005 and Dallas in 2016 in support of law enforcement officers, fire fighters, and national guardsman who responded to the Murrah Federal Building, World Trade Center terrorist attacks the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and the Dallas Police shootings.
Dr. Glenn is an active faculty member and trainer for the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation and an advisory board member for the Brattleboro Hospital Uniformed Services Worker’s Retreat, Brattleboro, VT.
Dr. Glenn received her Bachelor and Master Degrees from the University of Texas at Austin and Doctorate Degree from California Coast University. Having published numerous articles, Tania serves as a regular contributor to Air Beat: The Official Journal of the Airborne Law Enforcement Association. A 2006 film documentary titled “Between Iraq and a Hard Place” featured Dr. Glenn for her traumatic stress work for returning military members.
EDWARD MARASCO, MPM, CMTE, EMT-P (RET.)
Ed Marasco is currently the Vice President of Business Development for Quick Med Claims. Quick Med Claims provides revenue cycle management and consulting services for medical transportation organizations nationwide.
Mr. Marasco spent thirteen years at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in various administrative positions. He also served as the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Emergency Resource Management, Inc., a subsidiary of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. In addition, he served as a member of the Board of Directors for the STAT MedEvac Program.
Mr. Marasco received a BS degree in Secondary Education from the University of Pittsburgh and an MPM degree from the H.J. Heinz III School of Public Policy and Management at Carnegie Mellon University. In addition, he was cer- tified as an Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Mr. Marasco has more than fifteen (15) years of prehospital clinical experience and more than thirty (30) years of healthcare management experience.
Mr. Marasco has been actively involved with various industry professional organizations for more than twenty-five (25) years. He served as a member of the Association of Air Medical Services (AAMS) Fixed Wing Committee and the Finance & Reimbursement Committee. Mr. Marasco served on the Board of AAMS as the Chairman of the Finance & Reimbursement Committee for more than four (4) years. Mr. Marasco represented the Association of Air Medical Services in the Negotiated Rulemaking Process to establish a new Ambulance Reimbursement Fee Schedule for the Medicare Program.
DENNIS SHANAHAN, MD, MPH
Dr. Dennis Shanahan is the President & Owner of Injury Analysis, LLC. He provides consulting services in the field of biomechanics of injury, epidemiology of injury, and the development of occupant/user protective equipment. He analyzes injuries sustained in crashes to determine force vectors and mechanisms of injury, correlates injury with im- pact surfaces, restraint system design, seat design and crash kinematics to elucidate mechanism of injury. He also performs epidemiologic studies of crash injury to identify and quantify sources of injury. Applies knowledge of injury mechanisms and epidemiologic data to recommend or develop prevention strategies.
Dr. Shanahan was Appointed Chairman of the Rotorcraft Occupant Working Group (ROPWG) by the FAA Rotorcraft Directorate. The ROPWG is a working group of the Aviation Regulatory Advisory Council (ARAC) and reports directly to the ARAC Chairman. ROPWG is tasked with developing recommendations on implementing current occupant pro- tection regulations into all newly manufactured helicopters that had previously been exempt from the regulations by virtue of being certificated prior to the implementation of the current regulations. As Chairman of the working group he has overseen a cost-benefits analysis which was submitted to the ARAC and FAA in 2016. He is currently directing analysis and recommendations on what parts of these regulations should be implemented into all newly manufac- tured rotorcraft and whether to require retrofit into existing helicopters.
Dr. Shanahan is Board certified in Aerospace Medicine by the American Board of Preventive Medicine. He obtained numerous licenses and certifications throughout his career as a Surgeon in the Army and has received numerous military and professional awards, including the Secretary of Defense Medal for Outstanding Public Service, United States of America, 2003. Dr. Shanahan also has numerous teaching affiliations and an expansive lists of publica- tions that he has authored.
LISA TOFIL, PARTNER, HOLLAND & KNIGHT LLP
Ms. Tofil represents a number of health care organizations, with significant expertise in hospital and health system financing, trauma centers and systems, air medical transport, emergency medical services and the 340B Drug Discount Program. She is an experienced advocate on numerous other healthcare issues and programs, including graduate medical education, biomedical research, transplantation, health resources issues, as well as public records and open meetings laws. Ms. Tofil works with clients on policy development, devising legislative and regulatory strategies, and intervening as necessary to draft and secure legislative or regulatory changes that advance client interests. In previous roles, she served as in-house counsel to two large health systems, building their government relations functions and executing strategic government relations plans.
Bruce Webb is the Director of Aviation Education and Community Outreach for Airbus. He came to Airbus in February 1999 and was the Chief pilot for 16 years. He trained as an Accident Investigator for Airbus and is qualified in most Airbus helicopter models. He also Participated in Hurricane Katrine relief efforts in New Orleans for Airbus back in 2005.
Bruce began his aviation career while in High School Aviation Aerospace course (private pilot ground school) as a sophomore, then attended A&P school as a Junior and Senior. He obtained his private rotorcraft certificate in 1982 and commercial and CFI in 1983.
Bruce has flown and worked as an owner/operator in the Chicago area in various facets of helicopter operations to include Flight Instruction, Part 137 Agricultural operations (crop dusting), Part 145 limited repair station, Part 135 Charter, Powerline / Pipeline patrol, Photography, Cinematography, and HAA (Helicopter Air Ambulance).
Bruce believes that the key to improving the accident rate in aviation is a better understanding of human behavior.
